The Tsar’s family enjoying leisure time in their best years
Russia’s Emperor Nikolai II was a model family man. He was keen to spend his off hours with his family – his wife Alexandra Fedorovna and children – son Alexei, daughters Olga, Tatiana, Mary and Anastasia. Among all the family members there was a real love and soul integrity.
Spare time was not that much for the Emperor. All his spare time he tried to spend with his family, socializing with children, reading for them feature books or historical works. The Emperor was fond of history and read a lot about the historical discoveries. Those kinds of leisure activities which are professionally typical of military people – sports and hunting among them were to his liking too.
