Under the protection of saviors

On the eve of the Day of the State Flag of the Russian Federation, let us remember the old Russian flags under which Russian soldiers performed their feats of arms.

If we compare flags of Russian army from the beginning till the time of Pitter I we could noticed a huge difference. The main one reflects the  idea of symbols. There was reflections of  The Saviour, angels and apostles before the first Russian empire but after that time everything was changed and instead angels and apostles appeared lions, igloos and other “animals”. So, for people who came through Livonian War would difficult to believe in “animals” power.

But that changes didn’t reject Russian power and if we remember the history there were many winners under the  “animal’s”protection.
